Malta residence and citizenship are separate tracks. Residence routes include the Malta Permanent Residence Programme for non-EU families, the Global Residence Programme, self-sufficient residence for those who can live on their own resources, and TRP for EU/EEA/Swiss nationals.

Citizenship by merit is discretionary. It follows qualifying residence, four-tier due diligence and a genuine link to Malta. There is no citizenship-by-investment product and no guaranteed passport. We assess eligibility before any application is prepared.
